Colin is an architect with wide-ranging experience in all facets of architecture, gained over 44 years in the industry. He was an inaugural member of the Natspec (the national specification system) committee as the Northern Territory representative.
The specialist architectural specification-writing practice, Professional Specifications, setup by Colin in 1986, continues to write specifications for all types of projects throughout Australia and overseas.
During most of this period, Colin also lectured in the subject of specification writing at the University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology.
Colin has been working on the concept of a software replacement for the specialist specification writer for many years, and with the creation of AutoSpec Technologies Pty. Ltd., his vision is reaching fruition.
Tim is a qualified architect from the United Kingdom. His initial experience was gained in commercial architectural practices.
Tim then applied his architectural skills working for a cladding manufacturer, assisting with the development of sophisticated specialised systems.
Through Tim's knowledge of the development and marketing of specialised building systems, he was subsequently appointed the Sales Director to Structherm Building Systems Ltd. and then joined Corus plc (ex British Steel) to help establish the UK's first fully integrated, off-site, design and build modular metal roof system.
In 2008, Tim moved to Australia and worked for the building advisory service of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects - Archicentre, before joining AutoSpec.
